The 2025 U.S. Flag stamp continues the United States Postal Service’s long-standing tradition of featuring the American flag on everyday postage. Issued on June 7, 2025, in Three Oaks, Michigan, the stamp serves as both a practical mailing tool and a symbol of national unity, freedom, and patriotism.

The design features the American flag, often called “Old Glory,” waving in a gentle breeze against a clean white background. The words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” appear above a red stripe, while “FOREVER USA” is displayed at the bottom. The stamp was designed by Antonio Alcalá using a photograph by Doug Haight.

As a Forever stamp, the 2025 U.S. Flag stamp remains valid for mailing a one-ounce First-Class letter regardless of future postage rate increases. At the time of issue, its value matched the 78-cent First-Class Mail rate. The stamp is available in several formats, including booklets and panes of 20 stamps, as well as coils of 100, 3,000, and 10,000 stamps for high-volume mailers.

The American flag depicted on the stamp represents the nation’s history and values. Its 13 stripes commemorate the original colonies, while the 50 stars symbolize the current states of the Union. Through this simple yet powerful design, the 2025 U.S. Flag stamp honors one of the most recognizable symbols of the United States.
