The U.S. Marine Corps 250th USPS Forever stamp commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps, honoring two and a half centuries of distinguished service, courage, and unwavering dedication to the nation. Issued on May 16, 2025, the stamp celebrates the Marine Corps’ founding by the Second Continental Congress on November 10, 1775, during the early days of the American Revolution.

The stamp features the official United States Marine Corps emblem centered against a clean white background. Above the emblem appears the inscription “250 YEARS OF SERVICE,” while “SINCE 1775” is displayed below, emphasizing the Corps’ historic milestone. The simple, dignified design reflects the Marine Corps’ enduring values of honor, courage, and commitment. USPS art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamp.

The U.S. Marine Corps 250th stamp is one of three Armed Forces commemorative stamps released simultaneously by the U.S. Postal Service to celebrate the 250th anniversaries of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps. Together, the three stamps recognize the shared Revolutionary War origins of these military branches and pay tribute to the generations of service members whose dedication has helped safeguard the United States for 250 years.

The stamp was officially dedicated during a First-Day-of-Issue Ceremony at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. USPS officials were joined by senior military leaders representing the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps to commemorate this historic anniversary and recognize the service and sacrifice of America’s military personnel, both past and present.

Issued as a Forever stamp, the U.S. Marine Corps 250th stamp will always be valid for mailing a one-ounce First-Class Mail letter within the United States, regardless of future postage rate increases. It is sold in panes of 20 stamps, making it both a practical choice for everyday mail and a meaningful collectible for Marines, veterans, military families, history enthusiasts, and stamp collectors.
