The Love 2026 Forever stamps, issued by the U.S. Postal Service on January 13, 2026, continue the USPS’s long-running Love stamp series, which has celebrated romance, friendship, and affection since 1973. Released just ahead of Valentine’s Day, the 2026 stamps feature four whimsical illustrations of colorful birds surrounded by hearts, symbolizing the many ways love can be expressed.

Created by acclaimed illustrator James Yang, the artwork draws inspiration from midcentury American design and Japanese children’s book illustrations. Each of the four stamp designs portrays a pair of stylized birds interacting in charming scenes where hearts appear in playful and unexpected ways. One design shows a blue bird presenting a heart-shaped flower to a red bird, while another features two white birds resting together in a cozy nest beneath a heart-shaped moon. Additional designs include birds among leafy branches decorated with tiny white hearts and a pair surrounded by a shower of colorful heart-shaped petals.

USPS art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamp pane using Yang’s illustrations. The stamps are issued as Forever stamps, meaning they will always be valid for mailing a one-ounce First-Class Mail letter, regardless of future postage rate increases.

Sold in sheets of 20, the Love 2026 stamps are ideal for Valentine’s Day cards, wedding invitations, anniversary greetings, and everyday correspondence. Their bright colors and imaginative artwork celebrate love in all its forms while continuing one of the Postal Service’s most beloved annual stamp traditions.

With their cheerful bird illustrations and timeless message, the Love 2026 Forever stamps combine artistic creativity with practical everyday use, making them a favorite among stamp collectors and anyone looking to add a heartfelt touch to their mail.
